In September 2019, Shannon Ashford of TomFooleryLA hired our Elimu Girls to sew her Paris Fashion Show Collection in 2019. She spent 30 days in Malindi, Kenya sewing alongside our college students. Days were filled with laughter, learning and sewing as they learned her problem-solving designs.
On the eve of the big show, our girls huddled around a television set to watch their creations be shared on a world stage. With joyful tears, they learned that dreams really do come true!
