Cookie Kit: Holiday Edition

Calling all future fashion designers!

Nancy, Carol, and Prisca were a few of the Elimu Girls to work with fashion designer Shannon of TomFooleryLA to create dresses for the Paris Fashion Show, Fall 2019.  We invite you to join along in creating your own yummy designer cookie-dresses for the runway.

Here is all the good stuff that comes with each cookie kit:

  • Royal Icing Cookies (12) and Edible Markers (10)
  • The stories of Prisca, Carol and Nancy — three of our Elimu Girls superstar seamstresses.
  • The Paris Fashion Show story and a letter from the fashion designer
  • Interactive Coloring pages to learn about Kitenge, a traditional African fabric commonly found in Eastern Kenya.

Your donation is 100% tax-deductible. The cookies & kit are an added bonus!

Minimum donation: $75.00

A suggested donation of $75 or more will provide an Elimu Girl enough fabric use at our technical sewing college for an entire year.

Flour, sugar, eggs, salt, butter, meringue powder, vanilla extract, almond extract, confectioners sugar

Shipping Details

Please allow ten days from order to ship as each cookie is made to order, decorated with royal icing, and prepped with heat-sealed bags to keep fresh. A ten dollar flat rate in the USA for UPS Standard Shipping. For International Shipping — please reach out to cindy@elimugirls.com.

Cindy loves combining cookies and kindness.

Finding ways to explore her baking creativity and passion for women’s gender equality issues, this cookie-collaboration was born. Cindy has a pastry degree and enjoys the unique expression she can bring to every royal icing cookie. Baking has been a passion of hers since she was young, but always the best part was “giving” a bit of your home to someone you loved. Bonding with her youngest son in the kitchen gave her the idea that perhaps she can share the art of baking with moms around the world.

Creating a unique experience of cookie story telling and Elimu Girls Goes To Paris is an absolute baker’s delight! We are hopeful that moms and daughters, near and far, will love creating cookie-art and reliving a dream come true for village girls in Kenya.
