Story Of The Paperdress
Adorning the one-room sewing college are these recycled paper dresses.
Behind each dress is a story of a village girl who wants a chance in life to be an equal in her community. This is Carol has a clear direction on where she is going in life along with an infectious sense of humor. She is unstoppable!
The first-year students sew on repurposed maize flour bags as it is less expensive than fabric.
These handmade, one-of-a-kind art relics reflect school uniform patterns so she may market her wares to village schoolchildren upon graduation.
Authentically tattered, imperfect, and made by humble hands. She is unique, and so is every paper dress she crafts.
We will be selling these in Fall 2020. Please sign up for our newsletter and learn more!
