Adorning the one-room sewing college are these recycled paper dresses. Behind each dress is a story of a village girl who wants a chance in life to be an equal in her community. The first-year students sew on repurposed maize flour bags as it is less expensive than fabric. These handmade, one-of-a-kind art relics reflect school uniform patterns so she may market her wares to village school children. Authentically tattered, imperfect, and made by humble hands. She is unique, and so is every paper dress she crafts.
